Charlie Shaw

Charlie began his career with State Fire Rescue Training in 1964 and is known across the state for his involvement in the emergency services. Charlie not only coordinates training activities in Area-14, but he assists with numerous activities and special events across the Commonwealth.

Office Coordinator
Jamia Skaggs

Jamia began working at State Fire Rescue Training in 1994 as Secretary for Area-14 and now holds the title of Office Coordinator. Jamia serves with Charlie as the Special Events Committee for the Kentucky Firefighters Association assisting with many activities across the state. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.

Ilena is a part-time office assistant where she files, makes copies, keeps records and helps keep the Area-14 office running smooth.

FACILITY MAINTENANCE
 
Todd Gabehart

Todd maintains all equipment, trailers, buildings, and grounds at the Area-14 Training Center. He began working for SFRT in August 2006. Before that, Todd was a supervisor at Enterprise Electric along with being a cabinet maker and builder.

Bob Buckner

Bob Buckner is a 30-year veteran of the volunteer fire service, serving with the Campbellsville-Taylor County Fire Department. Bob holds the rank of Sergeant with the County Fire Department and along with Lt. Howard Dobson, is in charge of specialized training for all new recruits and explorers. Bob teaches part-time as a field instructor for Kentucky State Fire Rescue Training, Area-14. Bob is Firefighter I and II certified and has a Bachelor of Science degree from Samford University School of Pharmacy.

Randy Cox

Randy Cox has been a member of the fire service for more than 20 years, getting his start as a junior member in the fall of 1984. He has worked fulltime since 1986. He teaches part-time for Kentucky State Fire Rescue Training Area-14. He teaches a variety of subjects including suppression, rescue and EMS.

Howard Dobson

Howard Dobson is a 29-year veteran of the fire service currently serving as a Lieutenant with the Taylor County Fire Dept. Howard teaches part-time as a field instructor for Kentucky State Fire/Rescue Training Area-14, and is a volunteer with the Campbellsville Fire Department. Howard has served at various ranks including Firefighter, Engineer, and Captain. He is Firefighter I and II certified and is a certified EMT.

Darrell Hansford

Darrell Hansford has been a certified firefighter for 36 years. Darrell was a member of the first fully certified Fire Department in the State of Kentucky at the Whitley City Fire Department in 1970. Darrell retired as Deputy Chief in the North McCreary Fire Department, he is currently a second lieutenant in the Eagle Sawyer Fire Department. Darrell has an Associates Degree in Applied Science and Fire Science Technology. Darrell has been working for Kentucky State Fire Rescue Training Area-14 as an instructor since 1994.

Allen Johnson

Allen Johnson joined the fire service in 1974 as a Recruit for the Campbellsville & Taylor County Volunteer Fire Department. Over the next five years, Allen became certified as a Firefighter/Engineer, then Engineer/Trainer for Taylor County Fire Department. Allen became a full time engineer in 1979. From 1979 through 1996, Allen rose up through the ranks of the fire service to Sergeant, Lieutenant, then to Captain/Training Officer. Upon the retirement of Fire Chief Jimmy Cox, Allen assumed the position of Fire Chief for the City of Campbellsville. Allen became certified as an instructor for Kentucky State Fire Rescue Training in 1981 and presently still holds this certification. Allen is currently the President of the Kentucky Firefighters Association.

Mike Morrow

Michael Morrow is a 14 yr. veteran of the fire service serving as a firefighter/EMT with Campbellsville/Taylor Co. Rescue, and teaches part-time as a field instructor for Kentucky State Fire/Rescue Training (KCTCS), Area-14, teaching various programs throughout Kentucky. Mike has an associate degree in law enforcement. Mike has served both paid and volunteer holding ranks from Firefighter to Chief. Mike has also done wildland firefighter in New Mexico and is an IAFF member.

Greg Morris

Greg Morris is a 12-year veteran of the fire/rescue service.  Greg currently serves as a member of the Parkers Mill Fire Department (Pulaski Co/ Kentucky) and the Somerset Pulaski Co Rescue Squad.  He teaches part time as a field instructor for Kentucky State Fire Rescue Training, Area-14, with a special emphasis on Pump Operations, Pump Maintenance and Water Supply.  Greg has served in various ranks in the Fire/Rescue service including Firefighter, Lieutenant, Training Officer, Chief Engineer and Assistant Chief of the fire department and Assistant Chief of the Rescue Squad.

Todd Price

I am Todd Price. I have 24 years experience in the emergency services, a certified EMT, Kentucky certified firefighter, scuba diver, also have achieved FF1& FF2 status. I have been a instructor for State Fire Rescue Training since 1988. I am currently employed as a Deputy for the Kentucky State Fire Marshal's Office. I also am a volunteer firefighter for the Greensburg- Green Co. Fire Department and the Summersville Fire Department.

 
Mike Ramsey

Mike Ramsey is a 29-year veteran of the emergency services and currently holds the rank of Deputy Chief. Mike has been teaching as a field instructor for Kentucky State Fire/Rescue Training, Area-14 since 1980, teaching various programs throughout Kentucky. He is a Nationally Certified Level 1 & 2 Firefighter, a Licensed Paramedic, and an EMT Instructor/Evaluator. He has earned an Associates of Applied Science Degree through Somerset Community College.

Tiger Robinson

Tiger Robinson is a 20-year veteran of the fire service, currently serving as the County Fire Coordinator for Pulaski County. Tiger teaches part-time as a field instructor for Kentucky State Fire/Rescue Training Area-14, teaching in various counties throughout the State. He is a certified Firefighter, EMT and Hazardous Materials Technician. Tiger is currently serving on the State Fire Commission and various other committees in the fire service.

Scott Shaw

Scott Shaw has been active in the fire/rescue field for 20+ years. He has served as a volunteer Firefighter as well as a paid Firefighter, Training Officer, Captain, and Battalion Chief. He currently teaches for State Fire Rescue Training Area-14 and is a firefighter for the City of Cincinnati Fire/Rescue. As an instructor, Scott specializes in interior firefighting operations, firefighter survival and rescue, technical rescue, and vehicle/machinery extrication. He has an Associates Degree in Fire Science and a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration.

Marty Kazsuk

Marty Kazsuk is a 12 year veteran of the fire service serving the last five as a career firefighter/EMT the Nicholasville Fire Department where he holds the rank of lieutenant. He also is a member of the Eli Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department where he is serving as the deputy chief, and teaches part-time as a field instructor for SFRT area 14. Marty is certified FF1 & FFII, Hazardous materials, rope, swift-water, trench, and confined space technician trained, and also holding an instructors certification

 
Troy Webster
Troy Webster is a 15-year veteran of the fire service currently serving as a Captain with the Florence (KY) Fire/EMS Department.  Troy teaches part-time as a field instructor for Kentucky State Fire/Rescue Training, Area-14, teaching various programs throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Protection Administration from Eastern Kentucky University. Troy has served at various ranks in both paid and volunteer departments, including Firefighter, Captain, Training Officer, and Assistant Chief.
